This tutorial provides background on the emerging area of "Encrypted Storage". It also addresses Existing Encryption Algorithms and their Modes, File Encryption (e.g. PGP, GPG, etc.), Volume Encryption, Existing Software Products, Open Source and OS Issues, Existing Hardware Products, PC Encryption, Laptop Encryption, Server Encryption, and Tape Encryption.
