Prof. Yasser Dakroury received his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, with a major in Computer Engineering from the Communications and Computer Engineering Department- Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt (Excellent with Honors).

In 1990, he was awarded a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Ecole Centrale de Nantes (ECN), Real-Time Group, Nantes, France (Excellent with Honors), thesis title: "Specification and validation of MMS multi-server communication protocol for an industrial computer network".

He has many research activities including: CAD system for local area networks, Specification and validation of a communication protocol for an industrial environment.

He has supervised more than 12 Ph.D. and M.Sc. theses.

He has more than 35 published papers in international conferences.
